Gavin Andrews

Director

Gavin is a consultant, coach, trainer and university lecturer. His early career was spent in the Media sector where he spent over 10 years as a manager and media sales professional. He started with IPC Magazines, moved to become National Sales Manager of one of the UK's largest regional newspaper publishers, Regional Independent Media and concluded this part of his career with Guardian News and Media where he managed a highly successful team who conceived, sold and project managed creative marketing solutions for major brands including Sony, Apple and BT. Gavin also launched and managed part of GNM's business to business portfolio.

In 2006 Gavin undertook an MBA and realised that his real skill and motivation lay in supporting organisational and personal change through consulting, coaching and training. He founded his own business Edge Thinking ltd - a consultancy specialising in the media/creative sector and for evaluating public sector and non-profit projects. It was during this time that Gavin met and began working with Andy and Louise, the founders of the Authentic Organisation. He joined the organisation as a Director in 2009.

Gavin is also an Associate Lecturer at Middlesex University Business School where he lectures on Leadership and is a tutor on the MBA. Gavin co-leads a unique leadership module which helps students to discover their authentic self and their motivated capabilities and how to add real value to society when they leave university.

Gavin has a deep interest in personal development and specialises in helping individuals, teams and organisations to be better and to do better. He does this with a strong mix of soft and hard skills and by helping his clients to understand that high organisational performance comes from motivated, engaged employees working with a shared sense of purpose. He firmly believes that it is only when organisations get the people bit right first, that changes to the structures, systems and processes add any real and sustainable value.

Gavin is an avid reader, weekend mountain biker and occasional triathlete. He loves to travel (preferably to places where he can scuba dive in tropical waters) and lives in North West London with his wife Samanthi.
