Steve Hollingsworth

Director

Steve is a business improvement specialist and leadership coach. He has an unshakeable belief that performance is about people and that no matter how great the investment or how sophisticated the technology, the system will never perform to its maximum potential without great leadership involving the people concerned. His approach is designed to bring together hard business skills with the necessary behaviours to achieve solid and measurable business improvements that are sustainable.

He has been in consulting practice for fifteen years and has broad experience in the public and private sectors in manufacturing, technology and service provision. He has developed an organisational diagnostic model that has been used on several large transformational projects. He has a particular interest in organisational culture and how culture impacts performance. Many of the projects he has undertaken have demonstrated the strong influence that leadership bears on the culture of a business and how relatively small changes in leadership behaviour can have a profound and positive impact on the culture of the business.

Steve's early career began in the aerospace industry in manufacturing and technical training. During the 80s and 90s he held senior HR and operational management positions at executive and director level. At this time Steve managed sequentially, several transformational projects in design and manufacture. These projects affected thousands of employees and investments valued at many millions of pounds. This included cross boarder strategic alliances and joint ventures, factory moves and general efficiency improvements.

He has a strong sense of community responsibility and has been associated with several social enterprises concerned with economic regeneration and the arts. He is currently the chair of a further education college.

Steve is married to Gill, they have two grown up children and five grandchildren that provide entertainment. Steve's interest in the community takes up much of his time but he also enjoys messing about in boats.
